The interdisciplinary team at myoscience is a seasoned group of device veterans dedicated to the uncompromising pursuit of science-driven development to provide unique and innovative treatments.

Mr. Carnell brings more than 20 years of entrepreneurial, healthcare services and medical device experience to myoscience. His background includes sales & marketing roles with Johnson & Johnson, Gambro Healthcare and Bausch & Lomb Surgical. Mr. Carnell served as Vice President of The US Surgical Division of Bausch & Lomb, was founder of Charleston Renal Care, which was sold to DaVita; and was most recently Chief Operating Officer of Solta Medical (SLTM). While with Solta Medical, he led the integration of the Thermage, Fraxel and Isolaz brands and was instrumental to the success of the company's IPO in November of 2006. Mr. Carnell holds a Bachelor of Arts from Duke University.

Mr. Franklin has managed nearly 100 venture-backed and small-cap public company consulting engagements over the last 11 years. Some of his medical device clients where he served as CFO include iScience Interventional, AFx, and GenoRx. Prior to consulting, he held the top financial position at ACLARA BioSciences, which achieved an ultimate market capitalization of over $2B. He also was co-founder & CFO of BioLumin, which was sold to Molecular Dynamics. Mr. Franklin received a BS in Business from the University of Southern California and an MBA from Santa Clara University.

Dr. Karnik has been working in the healthcare industry for over 10 years. Prior to joining myoscience, she was a strategic and business development consultant for multiple aesthetics companies and an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Versant Ventures where she focused on aesthetic technologies. She previously worked as a management consultant for McKinsey & Company in the West Coast healthcare practice. Dr. Karnik was a faculty member at UCSF in the Department of Nephrology where she completed her fellowship. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at NY Presbyterian Medical Center (Cornell Medical Center) where she was an Assistant Chief Resident, received her MD from the University of California San Diego, and completed a BA from the University of California, Berkeley.

Dr. Allison is a seasoned executive with over 20 years of leadership experience in technology and medical device development. Dr. Allison has led R&D and clinical activities with innovative ventures including Acuson, Siemens Medical, Accuray, and most recently Zeltiq. Dr. Allison has over 20 issued US patents and has published numerous peer-reviewed articles. Dr. Allison received his PhD in Medical Imaging and his BS in Electrical and Biomedical Engineering from Duke University.

Prior to joining myoscience, Mr. Manley was a Vice President of Marketing for ETHICON. With over twenty five years of experience in healthcare sales and marketing, his most recent role was as the integration leader for the acquisition of Acclarent into Johnson & Johnson, which is widely regarded as one of the more successful recent integration activities in the Bay Area. Prior to this, he was VP of Marketing for Europe, ME and Africa for ETHICON. Mr. Manley has also extensive experience in country sales and marketing leadership, global and pipeline marketing and has also headed up groups in R&D. He holds a BSc in genetics from Leicester, an MBA from Warwick University and is a Chartered Marketer.

Ms. Henry brings 15 years of experience in medical device compliance for startup and Fortune 500 companies such as Boston Scientific/CryoVascular Systems (CVS), Natus Medical and Stryker Endoscopy. Ms. Henry has a proven track record in building and maintaining FDA, ISO 13485 and MDD compliant quality systems and products and was responsible for the initial and all subsequent FDA clearances for the myoscience device. Ms. Henry has a BS in mechanical engineering from California State Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo (Cal Poly), an MBA from UC Berkeley and has been certified in Regulatory Affairs (RAC) by the Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society (RAPS).

Mr. Morales brings over 20 years of customer service and business operations experience in startup and large public medical device companies. Most recently, he was Senior Director, Customer Service and Sales Administration at Solta Medical, the makers of the Thermage, Fraxel, and Isolaz brands. He took part in growing revenues from zero to $120 million. Prior to Solta, Mr. Morales was Senior Director, Customer Service and Sales Administration at VidaMed, until they were acquired by Medtronic for over $300 million. He was previously Director, Customer Support at Nellcor Puritan Bennett where he led the service operations functions while annual revenue grew from $50 million to $800 million, and until Nellcor was acquired by Mallinckrodt, Inc. for $1.8 billion.
